ULD Controller Job Description

Salary: £33,000
Rotational Shift Pattern: Mon to Sat 9am to 17:30pm & Tue to Fri 9am to 17:30pm
Location: London Heathrow Airport

The ULD Controller plays a crucial role in ensuring maximum use of ULDs across cargo or passenger baggage. This involves collaborating with airlines to control their ULD directory, allocating equipment for flights, and monitoring KPIs to optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage ULD inventory and assets, ensuring efficient utilization and minimizing damage.
  2. Collaborate with Cargo Operations Managers to allocate equipment for flights, considering aircraft type, passenger number, and cargo product.
  3. Monitor and analyze data on damaged equipment to ensure turnaround times are met and hold stakeholders accountable.
  4. Investigate and invoice damage to ULDs sustained by customers and Ground Handling Agents.
  5. Provide robust process documentation to ensure business continuity and visibility of the airline's entire ULD inventory.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Load control / ULD Management.
  • Ability to show initiative and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
