Process Technician

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Operations team at Thames Water, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our strategic pumping stations across northeast London.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine checks, basic planned preventative maintenance, and problem-solving to ensure the smooth running of the pumping station.
- Complete monitoring checks to ensure the plant is running efficiently and identify trends.
- Complete safety tasks to ensure the site is safe to operate, including statutory testing for legionella, fire, and housekeeping.
- Operate large storm pumping stations to manage our customers' network.
- Operate large mechanical equipment to provide safe isolations of plant and hydraulic flow.
- Complete confined space entries to inspect, maintain, and fault-find.
- Previous experience working in an outside manual role.
- Experience working within a pumping station, similar industry, or background working with mechanical equipment.
- The ability to work under pressure and in stressful situations.
- A passion for customer service and the environment, with a desire to learn and make a difference.
- A 'can-do' attitude and proactive approach to work.
- Ability to be trained in safety procedures, including confined space entry.
- A full driving license is essential.
- Competitive salary up to £28,000 per annum.
- Annual Leave - 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
