About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Communications Specialist to join our team at the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). As a key member of our External Affairs team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our External Affairs strategy, aligned to our overarching communications and organisational strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of External Affairs in the delivery of the NCSC's External Affairs strategy, ensuring effective engagement with government, public and private sector stakeholders.
  • Write agenda-setting speeches for the CEO and senior NCSC representatives, working with internal stakeholders to ensure speaking engagements and speeches align with our strategic priorities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key organisations and teams to support our organisation's objectives.
  • Contribute to stakeholder mapping and development of a detailed two-way engagement plan for each stakeholder group.
  • Research and report on opportunities and risks for our relationships with key external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the production of briefings, events and other communications material for key stakeholders to promote better understanding of key issues and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a fast-moving communications environment.
  • Experience of speech-writing, or other written communications for public audiences.
  • Experience working with a broad set of stakeholders in the public and private sectors.
