Position Overview

As an Early Years Foundation Stage Educator, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing engaging lesson plans that align with the EYFS curriculum.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes social and emotional growth.
  • Providing tailored support to each student based on their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Collaborating with fellow educators to develop and execute effective teaching strategies.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, delivering constructive feedback to students and their families.
  • Maintaining thorough records of student achievements and behaviors.
  • Establishing effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a strong school-home partnership.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, focusing on Early Years Foundation Stage or an equivalent qualification.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment methods.
  • The ability to cultivate a stimulating and positive learning environment for young children.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the development of strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to effectively plan and deliver lessons.
  • A genuine passion for education and a dedication to fostering student learning and development.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the evolving needs of the school and its students.
