Position Overview

Merton College is seeking a dedicated Electrical Technology Instructor to join our team in a part-time capacity. This role involves overseeing the upkeep and servicing of specialized equipment and facilities, preparing instructional materials, and providing essential technical support throughout the educational process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and service specialized electrical equipment and facilities.
  • Prepare materials for instructional purposes.
  • Offer technical assistance to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
  • Support and supervise students in practical workshop settings.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation and have recent hands-on experience in electrical installation and/or testing. A solid understanding of engineering practices, particularly in the electrical domain, is essential.

Additional qualifications such as the 17th or 18th Edition and 2391 Inspection & Testing are highly desirable.
