Lead Nurse for Patient Care

Job Summary:
The post holder will provide leadership for the delivery of patient care within their area of responsibility. They will have managerial responsibility for the area in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse, including supervision and deployment of staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment of care needs and evaluation of care plans
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients
- Maintaining both clinical and staff governance
- Supervision and deployment of staff
Requirements:
The post holder will require a PVG Scheme membership/record. If they are not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Working Arrangements:
The post holder will be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which they will be paid. This will be until the service they are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
Support for Disabled Candidates:
NHS Scotland will fully support disabled candidates and candidates with long-term conditions or who are neurodivergent by making reasonable adjustments to our recruitment policy and practices.
