Job Title: Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEND school in Redbridge. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and academic success of our students with a range of SEN needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring that equipment and resources are readily available for students.
  • Contribute to record-keeping by documenting observations and progress of pupils, providing valuable insights for teachers and support staff.
  • Support students with their daily routines, including breaks and mealtimes, promoting social skills and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans, ensuring that students receive the best possible support.

Requirements:

  • Clear enhanced DBS check
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with SEN
