About the Role:

The Cambian Group is seeking a dedicated and passionate Class Teacher to join our team at The Mews School. As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons, ensuring the department and the school achieve their aims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons.
  • Support learners to work towards GCSE English, Functional Skills English, and accredited Art qualifications.
  • Manage classes effectively, using approaches that motivate students.
  • Manage student anxiety effectively to ensure an enjoyable and safe working environment.
  • Assess subject and curriculum areas, including statutory assessment requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience of teaching at KS3 or KS4 in a specialist or mainstream setting.
  • Experience of teaching GCSE/Functional English and vocationally driven subjects.
  • Dedicated work ethic to ensure the needs of all students.
  • Passion for making learning effective and enjoyable.
  • DBS cleared and satisfactory references.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
