Building Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Manager to join our team at Brent Council-Housing. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring our properties meet all safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Council's compliance with statutory and non-statutory duties for housing and related properties.
- Work closely with the Strategic Compliance Manager to ensure the delivery of Building Safety Cases, Fire Risk Assessments, and Building Registration Certificates.
- Develop and implement a risk management approach to Building Safety Management, prioritizing mitigation and action plans.
- Manage assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the expected standard.
- Uphold the guidelines set out by the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, and Social Housing Regulation Act 2023.
- Degree in Fire Safety Engineering or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Fire Engineers (ideal).
- Relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) experience.
- Experience in preparing Building Safety Cases and Fire Risk Assessments.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and building regulations.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
