Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Pearson Education Ltd. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the standards of our externally assessed units are maintained and consistent with the unit specification and assessment criteria.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the timely delivery of contracted units and modules.
- Update the mark scheme and guidance before the pre-standardisation meeting, taking into account actual candidates' responses and feedback from supervisors and examiners.
- Mark an allocation of live candidates' responses to quality assure as part of a supervisory role, where required.
- Monitor the progress of supervisors and examiners.
- Act as a senior point of escalation across the quality assurance process.
- Monitor and report to the Assessment team after standardisation and completion of marking, submitting a completed feedback form for each supervisor and examiner as directed.
- Support in awarding activities by writing reports to the Awarding Committee, recommending grade boundaries, participating in the awarding activities, and other areas where required.
- Submit reports on the series and candidate performance.
- Provide support and written responses to complaints where required.
- Experience and knowledge of quality assurance and assessment practice.
- Provide examples of when you were asked to lead or support essential quality assurance activities.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and requirements.
- Report writing within a regulated industry.
