Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Part Time/Flexible

Zen Educate is seeking a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work part time or flexibly at a special needs school in Gloucestershire. This role is ideal for someone who has other commitments and is looking for a flexible work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with special needs in a classroom setting
  • Assist with personal care and daily living tasks as needed
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to support student progress
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student support
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with special needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience and empathy when working with students who may have challenging behaviors
  • DBS clearance or willingness to apply for a new one
