Mbi Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team in Oldham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Registered Manager in the recruitment, training, assessment, retention, support, and supervision of foster carers.
Key Responsibilities:- Recruit, train, and assess foster carers to ensure high-quality placements for looked-after children.
- Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager to develop and implement effective strategies for foster carer support and supervision.
- Conduct regular visits to foster carers to assess their suitability and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Complete Form F Assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in our out-of-hours service on a rotational basis to provide emergency support to foster carers and children.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with foster carers, children, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Proven experience as a Supervising Social Worker or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of child welfare and foster care practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer literacy, particularly with Charms.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
