Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver ambient, chill, and frozen foods to stores, utilizing a multi-drop work approach with up to 14 drops per day, depending on the route.
  • Manual handling of rolls cages, pallets, milk dollys, and bread trays, as well as the use of tail lifts and electronic pump trucks.
  • Drive in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations, and ensuring compliance with parking, speed, and road signage.
  • Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, adhering to The Highway Code, road safety rules, and vehicle regulations.
  • Work within all legal parameters of drivers hours and working time directive legislation, being fully compliant with tachograph and break requirements.
Requirements:
  • A valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification, and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience driving a Class 1 HGV.
  • Flexibility in approach to work, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team, providing support in resolving problems, and a can-do, right-first-time approach.
  • Willingness to work nights out.
