Position: VNA Warehouse Operative

Schedule: Monday to Friday (with occasional Saturdays)

Shifts: 07:00 am – 3:30 pm and 14:30 pm – 23:00 pm

Compensation: £13.50 per hour

Location: St. Modwen Park

The primary responsibilities of this position include ensuring the accurate receipt and storage of incoming goods, as well as efficiently replenishing picking locations.

Utilizing your strong organizational skills and attention to detail, you will maintain precise inventory levels and manage stock replenishment effectively.

You will report directly to the Senior Goods In Operative.

Required: Valid VNA license (in-house licenses are acceptable).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Goods Reception:
  • Process all incoming deliveries in accordance with warehouse protocols, including receiving, logging, and verifying stock items.
  • Safely unload deliveries in a timely manner and complete a delivery checklist.
  • Verify any discrepancies in deliveries and report them to the supervisor for resolution.
  • Check batches and expiry dates, processing goods accordingly.
  1. Stock Management:
  • Store stock and non-stock items for easy identification and traceability, implementing batch controls (FEFO).
  • Transfer stock from Goods In to Bulk storage.
  • Keep the Bulk storage WMS updated with all stock movements.
  • Conduct periodic checks of Bulk and picking locations to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Complete monthly batch reports detailing expiry dates of products.
  • Consolidate stock to optimize pallet space.
  1. Order Fulfillment:
  • Perform bulk picking and verification for large customer orders.
  • Execute bulk picks for in-house kit production.
  • Replenish the pick face promptly to maintain service levels for customer orders.
  • Assist with both informal and formal stock takes.
  • Conduct daily and weekly checks of material handling equipment (MHE).
  1. Goods Dispatch Support:
  • Process all outgoing consignments according to warehouse procedures.
  • Verify retail orders against manual delivery notes.
  • Accurately log next-day deliveries on the carrier manifest.
  • Perform final reconciliation of shipments at the end of the day.
  • Double-check consignment discrepancies and report them to the Supervisor.
  • Ensure goods are dispatched with the appropriate documentation.
  • Load carrier vehicles and obtain signatures from carriers.

Maintain regular upkeep and record-keeping for company material handling equipment.

Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned by the Operations Team Leader, including stock takes.

Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and safe at all times.
