About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at National Oilwell Varco. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure parts in our inspection area and manufacturing line to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Pass, refer, or fail goods on the line as appropriate, keeping the Quality Engineer informed with regular updates.
  • Raise non-conformances on non-conforming product and ensure appropriate containment actions are taken.
  • Work flexibly in different areas when required to support the production process.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to work area and processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and related documentation at a high level to ensure accurate inspection and measurement.
Required Skills
  • First principal inspection techniques to ensure accurate measurement and inspection.
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) knowledge to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience with VICI Vision, Shadow graphs, Laser measurements, CMM, Hexagon arm, and PMI reporting.
Desirable Experience
  • CNC machining experience to support inspection and measurement of complex parts.
  • CMM inspection techniques to ensure accurate measurement and inspection.
  • Six Sigma yellow belt certification to support process improvement initiatives.
