Marketing and Content Specialist

Position Overview:
This is a hybrid position based in the UK, requiring on-site presence three days a week. We are seeking a dedicated individual to enhance the visibility of Claims Media and Yorkshire Legal, establishing them as premier sources for professional growth, news, and insights within the insurance and legal industries.
The ideal candidate will be exceptionally organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. Strong writing abilities and a flair for digital marketing are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver captivating content across various platforms, including website updates, video production, social media engagement, email campaigns, and comprehensive reports.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and leverage insights to refine future content strategies.
- Generate and publish daily content for Claims Media and Yorkshire Legal News, including curating press releases, securing exclusive stories, and conducting interviews with industry experts.
- Identify contributors and assist in the production of the bi-monthly Leeds & Yorkshire Lawyer publication.
- Oversee the marketing and promotion of events and conferences, as well as Yorkshire Legal Jobs.
- Support event preparations, including developing judging criteria, writing scripts, and organizing judging panels and speakers.
- Compile, edit, and distribute weekly newsletters featuring exclusive content and pertinent insights.
- Foster strong relationships with key partners and stay informed about emerging trends in the insurance and legal sectors to position the brands as industry leaders.
- Occasionally represent the company at internal and external events for networking and reporting purposes.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Genuine interest in the legal and insurance sectors with a desire to expand knowledge.
- A minimum of two years of editorial or marketing experience, supported by a portfolio of published work.
- Exceptional command of the English language, demonstrating strong grammar and writing skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Proactive and capable of working independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with SEO practices and content management systems (such as WordPress).
- Experience with design tools like Canva, email marketing platforms like MailChimp, and analytics tools like Google Analytics.
- Proficiency in using Apple/MacBook Pro devices.
- Experience in creating mobile-friendly video content and comfort in front of the camera.
