About the Role

GKN Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Central Quality Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, perform, and report on internal and supplier audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead or participate in quality projects and improvement teams to drive continuous improvement and best practices across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain quality management systems, processes, and procedures to ensure effective risk management and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and support to employees on quality-related topics and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Engineering background and at least 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, auditing, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, quality tools, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in supplier audits and quality management systems.
  • Aerospace industry knowledge and experience.
  • IRCA Lead Auditor course or similar certification.
