Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team at ODIN RECRUITMENT GROUP LIMITED. This role offers a competitive salary of £44,400 and is based in the Leyland area, operating on a Continental 2 Days 2 Nights 4 Off shift pattern.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Engineering Manager, providing essential support in both reactive and planned maintenance tasks. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high operational standards by diagnosing faults, identifying issues with machinery, and implementing effective solutions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive maintenance requests on high-speed industrial machinery.
  • Perform electrical breakdowns and repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Utilize fault-finding techniques to troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Adhere to strict Health & Safety regulations on-site at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively within a skilled engineering team.
  • Report directly to the Maintenance Manager regarding maintenance activities.
  • Engage in PLC fault-finding, preferably with Siemens systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and installation projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Time-served Electrical Engineer with relevant qualifications (HNC/ONC/HND NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Experience in a fast-paced FMCG engineering environment is preferred.
  • Strong fault-finding skills, particularly in high voltage systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
  • Proven track record of thriving in a dynamic work environment.
