About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Legal & General. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing robust and scalable applications using cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality software applications using modern technologies and frameworks.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for our customers.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on software development best practices.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Deploy developed applications using container-based cloud platforms.
Requirements
  • Core Java development skills with experience in Java Core, Spring/Quarkus framework, and Linux.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and understanding of computing science fundamentals.
  • Good understanding of build activities across the SDLC, including unit testing, system testing, integration, security, and performance testing.
  • Relentless focus on delivering business value through sound engineering methods and principles.
  • Working experience with Kafka for event-driven communication between services.
  • Experience in Cloud Applications, Docker-based container development, and deployment on Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of CI/CD methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, etc.
  • Experience in Automated testing and TDD.
  • Experience with Software Engineering collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
