About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join our team at Lorien. As a key member of our Information Systems Section, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting over 200 core systems that ensure the ongoing performance of our critical systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Cloud, SQL, and CISCO networking. You will also have experience with project management methodologies, such as Prince2 and Agile, and be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex infrastructure and technology projects.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and processes.
  • Identify and implement system backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop business cases for new ICT projects.
  • Optimise existing systems for improved performance and security.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing complex technology projects within large organisations.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with Office 365 and various established technologies.
  • A full driving license and willingness to travel as required.
