Critical Facilities Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Facilities Engineer to join our Site Operations team at Vantage Data Centres. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities, including electrical and mechanical systems, and providing exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain data centre infrastructure, including electrical distribution, critical and essential PDUs, UPS, switchgear, HVAC, air handling units, and building monitoring/control systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial electrical and mechanical systems, including emergency generators, electrical distribution, and HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to ensure seamless operation of data centre facilities.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of data centre systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and customers as needed.
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial electrical and mechanical systems in mission-critical facilities.
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, HVAC systems, and building management/automation equipment.
- Ability to read commercial building blueprints and understand electrical single lines and schematics.
- Electrically qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
