Position Overview:

As a Lead Clinical Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that comprehensive care pathways are developed for individuals requiring health interventions related to addiction. Your work will align with organizational policies and national standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and oversee integrated care pathways for service users with health needs associated with addiction, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and national guidelines.
  • Develop and manage an immunization and vaccination initiative aimed at preventing blood-borne viruses and infectious diseases, while providing expert guidance to fellow professionals.
  • Encourage ongoing professional development and cultivate a learning atmosphere within your team, sharing valuable insights from senior leadership.
  • Deliver high-quality clinical services in accordance with national guidelines, organizational policies, and best practices, adhering to essential regulatory standards.
  • Lead the clinical implementation of new initiatives as required.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, engage in training programs, and provide support to colleagues within the organization.
  • Participate in relevant clinical advisory groups and partnership meetings to ensure effective representation of services.
  • Work collaboratively with the Lead Doctor to design and execute individualized treatment plans, facilitating detoxification processes across various operational sites.
Candidate Profile:
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and a valid pin.
  • Significant experience in the health and social care sector, particularly in substance misuse.
  • Proven experience in managing clinical services and teams within substance misuse and social care settings.
  • Comprehensive understanding of clinical interventions tailored to diverse service user needs.
  • Knowledge of the UK Drug Strategy and relevant social policy reforms.
  • Familiarity with various treatment methodologies and harm reduction strategies.
  • Thorough understanding of the regulatory framework governing clinical services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in IT.
  • Ability to adopt a facilitative and coaching management style.
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration with a range of professionals and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in managing change with a focus on service user needs.
  • Commitment to information governance and compliance with safeguarding protocols.
  • Proactive in seeking opportunities for professional growth and contributing to the development of others.
