Care Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and friendly Care Assistant to join our team at Visiting Angels South Yorkshire. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and companionship to our clients in Langley.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide companionship services to clients, engaging in activities and conversations to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, to ensure clients maintain their independence and dignity.
  • Offer travel assistance, accompanying clients on outings and providing support with mobility and transportation.
  • Supervise clients during activities and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring clients receive nutritious and enjoyable dining experiences.
  • Perform household tasks, such as light cleaning and laundry, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of clients and colleagues.
  • Basic knowledge of personal care and household tasks, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
