Position Overview
Full-Time Commitment: 37.5 Hours Per Week, Monday to Friday - Various Shifts Between 07:00 and 20:00
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Catering Services Team as a Catering Services Supervisor.
In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage service areas, including the Staff Restaurant, Patient Conveyor Belt Service, and Hospitality Service, ensuring that our team consistently achieves high standards of service.
You will also assist the Head Chef in managing the beverage trollies for patient wards and the on-site vending services.
Key Responsibilities
- Delegate tasks, organize duty schedules, and provide coverage for staff absences.
- Facilitate on-the-job training for team members and ensure adherence to mandatory training requirements.
- Ensure compliance with proper cleaning protocols and hygiene standards.
- Monitor and document food temperatures for compliance with due diligence records, adhering to HACCP principles.
- Record temperatures of refrigeration units to maintain food safety standards.
- Manage the ordering and receipt of stock, ensuring quality and quantity checks are performed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions to maintenance and keep accurate records.
- Conduct quality assurance checks in all service areas according to established schedules and ensure timely rectifications.
- Promote the highest standards of personal hygiene among staff at all times.
- Oversee the requisitioning and management of supplies.
- Collaborate with catering management to address any service-related changes or issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with all fire, health, and safety regulations.
- Maintain intermediate Food Hygiene Level training and support local training on basic food safety practices.
- Possess knowledge of dietary requirements, including Halal, Kosher, Texture Modified meals, Vegan options, and allergens.
