Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tradesperson to join our team at Platform Housing Group. As a Multi-Skill Trades Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks related to carpentry and other trades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out carpentry work, including repairs, maintenance, and improvements to properties.
  • Work on a variety of projects, including voids, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
  • Use a range of skills, including basic plumbing, plaster patching, decorating, and wall tiling.
  • Deliver high-quality work, meeting deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Use IT systems, including PDAs and Microsoft software, to manage work and communicate with the team.
  • Hold a full driving license and be willing to travel to different locations.
  • Undergo a DBS check and maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • NVQ L2 Carpentry qualification.
  • Experience of working as a Carpenter in the building trade, either as a Carpenter or as a multi-skilled Tradesperson.
  • Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association, or council.
  • Associated trade skills, including basic plumbing, plaster patching, decorating, and wall tiling.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to keep jobs on track.
  • Drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently.
  • Good IT skills and experience of using PDAs and Microsoft software.
  • Full driving license.
  • DBS check.
