Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer - Electrical Bias

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team at our Ashby site. As a key member of our Engineering function, you will provide a comprehensive electrical, mechanical, and maintenance engineering service to safely sustain and improve production operating efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain production and ancillary equipment, property, and facilities to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with production requirements.
  • Create and maintain accurate maintenance records, including PPM schedules and data entry records.
  • Act as host for contractors working on site, ensuring safe working practices and completion of necessary documentation.
  • Respond to requests from production and maintenance leads for engineering assistance and monitor visual management boards to prioritize tasks.
  • Work with production teams to improve their capability and knowledge of equipment and processes.
  • Identify and analyze problems, implement root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures, and follow policies and procedures in conjunction with the food quality management system and retailer-specific technical standards.
  • Contribute to food safety and health and safety initiatives, identifying hazards and risks, and ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering.
  • Multi-skilled with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, and drive to succeed.
