About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Visiting Moderator to join our team at Pearson. As a Visiting Moderator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out moderation of parts of a subject examination, such as coursework, projects, and special studies, which are marked initially by teachers in the centres.
  • Undertake direct assessment of school-based components in the subject where centres opt not to make initial assessments.

Requirements

  • One academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, within the relevant subject and level, since qualifying as a teacher.
  • A degree or equivalent.
  • A qualified teacher.

Competencies

  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.
