Anderselite is recruiting on behalf of a premier building services contractor for a Mechanical Project Manager role.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, available for a Mechanical Project Manager to manage designed and built projects up to £10M (M&E value) across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gain a thorough understanding of project design, drawings, and specifications to enable effective project management.
  • Attend pre-start meetings with the main contractor to ensure a smooth project commencement.
  • Develop a project programme with key dates and issue technical submittals for approval.
  • Procure labour and subcontractor packages, materials, and services to meet programme delivery requirements.
  • Maintain commercial responsibility, including value engineering and managing variations to ensure a profitable project outcome.
  • Project planning and management, ensuring compliance with contract drawings and specifications, and high-quality delivery.
  • Manage labour levels, materials, and site operations to meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Electrical counterpart to ensure a cohesive project delivery.
  • Populate quality reports and documentation as required by the main contractor.
  • Conduct progress meetings with clients and subcontractors to monitor performance and quality.
  • Plan and monitor commissioning stages with the site manager and subcontractors.
  • Ensure defects are minimized and deliver the project to handover and final account stage.
Key Skills
  • Demonstrable record of managing multi-million-pound D&B projects as a mechanical number 1.
  • Good all-round mechanical knowledge with relevant qualifications.
  • Effective planning and project management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to take full responsibility for financial performance.
  • Client-focused and professional approach.
  • Good people management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Package

The annual salary for this role is negotiable, circa £60,000, depending on previous experience. The company offers a discretionary bonus scheme, company vehicle, mobile phone, laptop, PPE, and company clothing.

Additionally, the company provides 25 days' holiday plus stats, private healthcare, and a competitive pension plan.

This role can be based on-site, across the Midlands, or in the office, with some provision for remote working from home.
