Key Responsibilities

As an Improvement and Delivery Support Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting team members to understand and coordinate their individual priorities and work requirements.
  • Supporting the management of activities, gathering information, updating documentation and undertaking enquiries as necessary for the activities lead.
  • To support the development of detailed data reports in order to manage and monitor benefits realisation of delivery. Tracking the progress and ensuring that the intended benefits are achieved with outcomes maximised.
  • Understanding, highlighting and documenting activities risks, issues and actions, ensuring early identification and proactive mitigation where possible, and ensuring concerns are escalated promptly.
  • Communicating complex, sensitive information with a range of staff internally and externally across the organisation.
  • Supporting the recruitment process within the Operations Directorate, ensuring all the relevant forms are actioned.
  • Working effectively under pressure, while still meeting deadlines.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education to a diploma level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Experience of business support with team management of inbox, calendar and diary management for meetings.
  • Knowledge of the current NHS structures and relationships between NHS England, ICBs and Provider Trusts.
  • Ability to work to own initiative and organise own workload with minimal supervision, working to tight and often changing timescales.
  • Demonstrable communication and influencing skills with the ability to remain calm, effective and efficient during difficult situations.
  • Ability to extract data into presentable format to enable wider discussions.
  • Consistently thinks about how their work can help and support clinicians and frontline staff deliver better outcomes for patients.
  • Works well with others, is positive and helpful, listens, involves, respects and learns from the contribution of others.
