Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Craft Team Member to join our team at Liberty Steel Group. As an Electrical Craft Team Member, you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the electrical systems at our Scunthorpe site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled inspections and monitoring of the site and facilities to ensure the prevention of environmental incidents.
  • Maintain and repair electrical equipment, including A.C. & D.C. Drives, Inverters, Converters & Plc's.
  • Read and understand electrical distribution drawings to assist in HV & LV maintenance tasks.
  • Repair and maintain building services power and lighting systems.
  • Test and inspect fire and intruder protection systems.
  • Perform PAT testing and meter readings.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to site requirements using strong problem-solving skills.
  • Train and maintain awareness of safely working at height and isolation procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience maintaining and fault finding on electrical systems.
  • Confident to read and understand electrical distribution drawings.
  • Knowledge of power switching and the rules, permits and roles required.
  • Ability to work at height and isolation procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond quickly to site requirements.

Working Environment

You will be working in a small team responsible for caretaking and maintaining the Scunthorpe site in a mothballed state. You will be required to work a Mon-Fri days rota and will be responsible for your own health and safety and those around you.
