Job Title: Solicitor Commercial Property

We are seeking a highly skilled Solicitor Commercial Property to join our team at Carlton Recruitment Solutions Ltd.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor Commercial Property to work on a variety of commercial property matters, including development and investment property work, and the disposal and acquisition of businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the department in meeting its fee earning targets by providing advice and assistance to clients and other departments.
  • Conduct matters on behalf of clients, including commercial, development, and investment property work.
  • Develop a client/referrer base and understand and undertake property referral of work to relevant departments.
  • Involved in practice development and marketing activities for the department, office, and firm.
  • Utilise skills of any department trainee and assist with their training.
  • Financial control, including cash-flow control through collection of monies on account and billing procedures.
  • Travelling to client meetings both in and outside the UK when required.
  • Promoting good file management and ensuring compliance with SRA and other regulatory procedures.
  • Maintain professional knowledge base, including attainment of annual CPD points.
  • Assist during the absence of other fee earners and supervise junior members of staff.
  • Achieve targets in respect of chargeable hours, fees, recovery rate, lock-up, and non-chargeable time as an Associate Solicitor.
Requirements:
  • A good honours degree followed by LPC, training contract, and PSC, or a good honours degree with CILEX to Fellow level, LPC, and PSC, and admitted by SRA as a solicitor.
  • Demonstrates strong competence in the chosen area of law and practice and a sufficient understanding and awareness of all relevant areas of law as appropriate.
  • High level of courtesy and respect in dealing with all colleagues and clients/key business introducers.
  • A good sense of commercial awareness and sound training.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, social, and communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure.
  • Computer literate with an ability to develop its use in own functional area and prior knowledge of regulatory requirements, Practice Evolve, or other office management systems.
