We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Caseworker to join our team at ThirtyThree. As a Litigation Caseworker, you will play a critical role in defending the Home Office's immigration decisions and maintaining an effective immigration system.
Key Responsibilities- Manage legal claims and help maintain an effective immigration system
- Deliver excellent customer service and help to resolve complex immigration cases
- Work closely with the Appeals, Litigation and Administrative Review team to defend immigration decisions and provide a casework remedy for decisions that do not meet the immigration rules
- Develop expertise in a particular area of immigration law, such as human rights or asylum, and work on a wide range of issues as you gain experience
- Prepare cases for court and manage cost conclusions
- Hold an undergraduate degree and/or recent experience of complex case working in a government litigation team or in a government case working team with significant litigation experience
- Be organized, precise, and detail-focused with excellent drafting skills
- Be able to anticipate and avoid problems and also to learn from setbacks
- Be able to build trust and respect with others, internally and externally
- Be responsible and accountable for decision-making
- Be highly motivated and able to inspire others to achieve targets
- Be able to analyze complex information and identify errors
- Be able to comply with standards, relevant guidance, and case law
- Be able to make sound and legally defensible decisions
