About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Allied Health Professional Leader to join our team at Sussex Community. As Assistant Director of Allied Health Services, you will play a key role in leading and managing our Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) to deliver high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of AHPs to achieve strategic objectives and improve patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective workforce planning and management strategies to meet the needs of our patients and services.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to drive innovation and improvement in AHP services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant national policies and strategies, and maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other healthcare providers and community organizations.
Requirements
  • HCPC Registration as an Allied Health Professional.
  • Educated to master's degree level or equivalent experience, with high-level analytical skills and ability to translate vision into clear direction.
  • Continued Professional Development, including evidence of reflective practice, in-service training, and experience gained.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification, such as an MPhil or PhD in Leadership Development.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Evidence of leading Clinical AHP health or care services at a senior level, with management responsibility.
  • Evidence of working across a multi-disciplinary team or across professions.
  • Experience of AHP workforce planning, training, and education.
  • Experience of managing and communicating difficult and complex information.
  • Workforce planning and modeling.
  • Matrix working at senior level.
  • Evidence of benchmarking practice.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £74,290 to £85,601 per annum, pro rata, and a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional development.
