Midwife - Band 6

We are seeking an experienced midwife to join our team at the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 midwife, you will provide holistic midwifery care to women and babies in the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have recent experience in all aspects of midwifery practice, including obstetric emergencies and medicines management. You will be required to provide care in both hospital and community settings, including the management of individual caseloads and clients.
You will also be expected to deputise for the Band 7 midwife in all clinical areas and integrate and fulfill all the identified dimensions of the role.
Key Responsibilities- Provide holistic midwifery care to women and babies in the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
- Manage individual caseloads and clients in hospital and community settings.
- Deputise for the Band 7 midwife in all clinical areas.

We are looking for a midwife who has:
- A valid driving licence.
- Registration as a midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- Recent experience in all aspects of midwifery practice.
- Competencies relevant to the sphere of practice.
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
- A teaching or mentoring qualification.
- A degree or diploma in midwifery or a related field.
- Experience of mentoring students.
