About the Role:

The Senior IT & Cloud Security Architect plays a critical role in safeguarding Avient Corporation's business operations. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to various projects that focus on data protection, vulnerability management, cyber-incident response, asset classification, policy and procedure development, and security education.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement proof of concepts to drive operational enablement of emerging technologies.
  2. Participate in or lead embedded teams in larger enterprise projects to meet strategic objectives.
  3. Collaborate with team members to specify operational objectives, including SLA's and KPI's for availability, performance, and security.
  4. Contribute to architectural design and provide technical direction to software agile development teams.
  5. Provide technical escalation support across deployed platforms and liaise with development, support, infrastructure, and security teams as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. Strong technical knowledge and experience across Microsoft platforms and technologies, including Azure, Office365, and Windows 365.
  3. Extensive experience in Networks, Data Centre Systems, and cloud architecture, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS security.
  4. Knowledge of virtual and physical networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, IP, IDS/IPS, and Encryption.
  5. Experience identifying cybersecurity risks and developing proportionate mitigations in solution designs.
  6. Demonstrate a passion for cybersecurity and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge across the business.
  7. Experience with testing and reporting on the security of systems and architectures to ensure requirements are being met.
