Overview:
Are you passionate about precision engineering and skilled in the operation of various machining tools to create high-quality components? Acorn by Synergie is currently looking for a dedicated Metal Manual CNC / Turning Machinist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
The Engineering Workshop supports tube manufacturing processes. The Machinist will be tasked with:
  • Machining one-off and small batch components or equipment based on engineering drawings or internal specifications.
  • Working in an 8-hour shift pattern, Monday to Friday, rotating between days, backs, and nights.

Qualifications and Skills:
To qualify for the Manual Turning Machinist position, candidates should have:
  • A completed recognized apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or similar qualifications.
  • Experience in setting up and operating CNC lathe machines.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming, including understanding and editing programs, with familiarity in Fanuc systems preferred.
  • Experience in manual operations of lathes, milling machines, and general workshop equipment.
  • Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and standards.
  • Competence in using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Capability to perform manual tasks weighing up to 25kg.
  • A valid driving license.
