McGregor Boyall, a prominent player in the financial services sector, is on the lookout for a skilled Cloud Automation Specialist with extensive experience in Azure and its comprehensive product suite.

Position Overview:
In this role, you will engage in a collaborative team environment focused on the development, testing, and maintenance of virtualization solutions across the organization. Your contributions will be pivotal in crafting these solutions, tailored to meet specific business needs. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in mentoring junior team members, enhancing the overall skill set within the group.


This position offers a dynamic atmosphere where you will have the chance to work with the complete Azure technology stack. You will collaborate closely with vendors, guiding them to ensure their offerings align with our strategic objectives.

Key Qualifications:

Ideal candidates should possess:

  • Certifications such as AZ104 and AZ140.
  • Experience with infrastructure services including Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, Security, and Networking components.
  • Familiarity with Azure policies and governance tools for compliance and security management.
  • Expertise in securing virtual environments, encompassing threat detection, incident response, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Logic Apps, Functions, Azure Automation, and Event Grid.
  • Knowledge of AVD architecture, deployment strategies, management tools, and security best practices.
  • Experience with Infrastructure & Configuration as Code concepts and tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, Terraform, or similar.
  • Strong background in PowerShell, KQL, and YAML for automating AVD-related processes.
  • Experience in building and deploying secure, scalable Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments through CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of Git or other version control systems for effective IaaC code management.

This role requires a commitment to being onsite two days per week.
