Purpose of the Role
CBRE oversees the maintenance of UK Data Centres, dedicated to delivering an efficient and effective critical engineering maintenance service.
- The main objective is to guarantee 100% uptime of engineering services, ensuring no disruption to client operations.
- To deliver services that meet and surpass contractual obligations, aligning with client expectations and fulfilling CBRE's commitments.
- To ensure all maintenance tasks are executed in accordance with client and company protocols, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- The site holds certifications from the Uptime Institute M&O accreditation and BS Asset Management, which are integral to our service delivery standards.
- Assess maintenance or additional work requirements and identify potential health and safety impacts on critical plant operations through the creation of Critical Environment Work Authorisation (CEWA).
- Implement mitigating strategies to address potential impacts, utilizing safe systems of work and operational procedures (SOP and EOP).
- Foster the development of the engineering team through coaching and mentoring in critical maintenance and operations as per CERM methodologies.
- Conduct FMR and asset condition assessments for engineering equipment.
- Ensure effective implementation and adherence to the customer's RNOW change approval process.
- Proactively manage and supervise engineering risks by applying CERM methodologies.
- Guide the site engineering team in the proficient application of CERM.
- Build and nurture trusting relationships with the CBRE site engineering team, TET team, DCS, and other client personnel.
- Champion cultural transformation daily by exemplifying safe working practices, compliance, quality standards, and best practices.
- Propose ideas and initiatives that enhance continuous improvement and service quality.
- Contribute positively to team efforts with a proactive attitude and a commitment to raising standards.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the Contract Manager, in line with experience and competencies.
- Develop systems, procedures, and process maps to enhance operational functions.

- Experience with CEWA, SOP, EOP, and safety documentation.
- Familiarity with CERM methodologies.
- Completion of an Electrical/Mechanical apprenticeship.
- HV switching qualifications or experience.
- Knowledge of 18th Edition IEE Regulations.
- NEEBOSH Certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
