About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Portering Team at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a General Porter, you will play a vital role in providing an excellent patient care experience, extending care and consideration to patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a flexible, efficient, and quality service, prioritizing work and directing staff accordingly to ensure optimum use of resources.
- Receive and respond to work requests, taking prompt and appropriate action in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Undertake all portering and support worker duties, including dispatching, corridor clearance, furniture requests, and office moves.
- Work closely with the Portering Operations Manager, Site Practitioners, and On-Call teams to prioritize operational requirements and manage portering duties and performance.
- Contribute to the on-going development and delivery of the Portering services, ensuring a quality service is delivered to all patients, staff, and visitors.
Working Pattern
The successful candidate will work a shift pattern, including nights, days, weekends, and bank holidays, for which allowances will be paid.
