Shift Pattern: This position involves a 24-hour rotational shift schedule.
We are seeking dedicated professionals to enhance our dynamic and innovative team within the Intensive Care Unit/High Dependency service. Given the current challenges in healthcare, the ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving demands of the Critical Care service. The Critical Care unit caters to level 2 and 3 patients, and regular rotation across various areas is encouraged to address service needs effectively.
The Intensive Care and High Dependency Units provide care for patients requiring intricate interventions, including ventilatory support (both invasive and non-invasive), cardiovascular assistance, and renal support. Our facility also offers tertiary support for specialized areas such as Burns and Plastics, Pancreatitis, and Orthopaedics.
We are looking for motivated individuals who are committed to delivering patient-centered care with a focus on service improvement. Successful candidates will participate in a 12-month Competency-Based Programme, culminating in a personalized self-development plan that includes the accredited Critical Care Course offered by Glasgow Caledonian University. Additionally, there is supported funding available for management SVQ courses, NES courses, and Master's programs at West of Scotland University.
Essential qualifications include current NMC registration, evidence of continuous professional development, basic IT proficiency, effective communication skills, and a passion for working in a Critical Care environment.

NHS Scotland is committed to reducing the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours, effective from April 2024, without any alteration in pay.
