Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Management Accountant to join our esteemed client in the Durham area.
The ideal candidate will report directly to the Group CFO and will be instrumental in enhancing their financial oversight and reporting mechanisms.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity for an individual eager to embark on a career in the industry or to further develop their existing industry expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and evaluate monthly management accounts for distinct entities, ensuring precision and promptness in financial reporting.
2. Oversee and submit VAT returns while managing other ad-hoc HMRC reporting obligations, ensuring adherence to current tax regulations.
4. Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors during year-end compliance and assist with financial audits and tax evaluations.
6. Actively scrutinize and analyze transactions to guarantee financial accuracy and integrity.
Qualifications:
- ACCA or ACA qualified.
- Prior experience in a practice setting.
- Experience in the industry sector is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to interpret and query financial data.
- Proactive mindset towards problem-solving and continuous enhancement.
