Position Overview: St John's College is seeking a dedicated individual to join our academic team as a Lecturer in French. This role involves engaging with a diverse cohort of undergraduate students pursuing degrees in Modern Languages, specifically focusing on French.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver an average of 1.6 hours of instruction per week during full term, covering post-1800 literature topics for preliminary students through seminars, tutorials, and revision sessions.
- Collaborate closely with the organizing tutor in Modern Languages to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum.
- Design and evaluate start-of-term assessments for first-year students as needed.
- Contribute to the College's outreach initiatives and assist in the undergraduate admissions process.
Compensation: The position offers a salary of 0.2FTE of the University scales 7.1, amounting to £7,205 per annum, pro-rata based on qualifications and experience. Candidates without a doctorate will be adjusted to grade 6.1.
