POSITION: ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER - TROWBRIDGE | £11.44 per hour
We are in search of a candidate who can motivate and guide the store team through effective communication, management, and planning.
- Champion customer satisfaction by implementing innovative strategies to enhance the retail experience.
- Maintain high standards on the shop floor and in all operational areas to ensure the store is a preferred destination for customers, donors, and volunteers.
- Oversee stock management and ensure proper rotation of inventory.
- Organize backstage areas efficiently, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in training, motivating, and managing volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to prepare and display goods, provide excellent customer service, and uphold cleanliness standards.
- Encourage volunteer recruitment and maintain a schedule to ensure the shop operates during all designated hours.
- Identify and propose areas for improvement.
- Ensure accurate financial procedures, banking, and administrative tasks as required.
- Engage in ongoing education, training, and development, attending meetings as necessary.
WORKING HOURS
This is a part-time role, requiring 15 hours per week, spread over 2 days within a 7-day period. Regular weekend availability is essential.
ABOUT YOU
Essential qualifications:
- Proficient in Maths and English.
- A strong team player with the ability to inspire others.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Customer-oriented with a positive and energetic demeanor.
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience in retail or charity shop environments.
- Previous management experience.
- Possession of a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
