About the Role

The Clinical Governance Facilitator is a key member of the Governance Team, responsible for ensuring high standards of governance and compliance while supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Effective Governance Systems: Work closely with Managers to establish and maintain effective systems and processes for key indicators of clinical quality, serious incidents, adverse occurrences, complaints, issues of poor clinical performance, and patient safety.
  • Support Quality Improvement Initiatives: Collaborate with departments to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards and governance and assurance processes, providing assurance that governance standards within the hospital are met.
  • Provide Administrative Support: Facilitate the delivery of a patient-centric quality governance and effectiveness agenda, including preparation of minutes and agendas, maintenance of action logs, and collation of documents and report content.
  • Review and Analyze Data: Review hospital data to determine which events fall within defined parameters set for KPIs and facilitate reviews of patient records by clinicians.
  • Provide Training and Support: Offer training, support, and advice to staff on quality issues, patient safety, clinical governance, and risk management.
  • Support Complaints Team: Assist the Complaints team in ensuring all formal complaints are logged within the Datix reporting system and support complaint investigations as required.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Demonstrate a flexible attitude to task management to meet the needs of the organization and maintain a high standard of practice in accordance with company and department policy.
