About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highway/Civil Engineer to join our team at Tetra Tech. As a key member of our highways and infrastructure design team, you will be responsible for designing and detailing infrastructure/drainage works associated with major and challenging infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and detail infrastructure/drainage works for a wide range of projects, including residential infrastructure projects and SuDS.
  • Manage and lead projects independently, working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure our designs are innovative and effective.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement quality assurance and project management processes.
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in drainage design and highway engineering, with a strong understanding of infrastructure engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong technical knowledge of AutoCAD, Civils 3D/Site 3D/PDS, and Micro-Drainage.
  • Experience of working with statutory authorities and procedures.
  • Commercial management experience, including change control.
  • Commitment to health and safety practices within the workplace and design.
  • Ability to mentor and support team members.
  • Full UK driving license.
