About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced educator who can significantly impact our educational community. This role will involve teaching Key Stage 3 classes, catering to students aged 11 to 13. We welcome applications from candidates with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), regardless of whether their background is in Primary or Secondary education.
Your teaching approach will be innovative and tailored to meet the diverse educational needs of our students, ensuring that the curriculum is delivered effectively to maximize student achievement and development.
Our students may exhibit challenging behaviors due to their unique needs, so experience in this area is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Key Stage 3 Department, providing direct management for all classes.
- Collaborate closely with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to assess student progress and outcomes.
- Review the quality of education and monitor the implementation of the specialized curriculum.
- Implement pastoral and positive behavior strategies to enhance student engagement.
- Work in partnership with the clinical team to ensure that the communication and sensory needs of students are met.
- Monitor student attendance and home-school communications.
- Escalate relevant information to SLT to address any pastoral or educational issues that arise.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting or extensive experience with students with complex additional needs.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons.
- Possession of UK QTS or QTLS is essential for this role.
