About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Meridian Business Support. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimating new inquiries and managing ongoing costs of live projects through to completion.
  • Producing and sending inquiries to subcontractors, engaging with the supply chain, and monitoring and controlling income and expenditure on contracts.
  • Attending and contributing to financial and progress meetings with clients and subcontractors when required.
  • Providing advice and support to site teams and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to apply those skills internally and externally.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry, ideally in refurbishment and extension in the Education sector.
  • Willingness to work on your own initiative and progress your career.
  • HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • CSCS card.
