Main Responsibilities:
  • Attend to breakdowns to minimize machinery downtime and ensure smooth production operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with technological advancements and implement best practices in the factory to drive efficiency and quality.
  • Diagnose defects, execute repairs, and conduct thorough testing before handover to ensure high-quality results.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure adherence to quality standards and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Contribute to departmental and site improvement projects to drive continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Review processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain quality standards.
  • Monitor and conduct dynamic performance tests of new and current machinery on a regular basis to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • Formal Engineering Qualification or Apprentice-trained.
  • Familiarity with system drawings and machinery manuals (Electrical/Mechanical/Hydraulic/Pneumatic).
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG or Food manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and programming skills.
  • Experience with PPM systems and knowledge of PUWER regulations.
  • Familiarity with 18th Edition Electrical Regulations (desirable).
  • Right to work in the UK.
