About Our Senior Charities Lawyer Role

We are seeking a highly experienced senior charities lawyer to lead our Charities practice and manage our charities team at Blake Morgan LLP. As a senior charities lawyer, you will provide expert advice to our clients, including charities, not-for-profit organisations, and social enterprises, on all aspects of their legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead our Charities practice and manage our charities team
  • Provide first-class legal advice to a developed and established client base across England and Wales
  • Contribute to new business attraction and service a very loyal client base
  • Manage and supervise our charities team, including leading and managing a team
  • Provide commercial and legal advice to trusts, companies, associations, Charitable Incorporated Organisations, Community Benefit Societies, and schools
  • Handle Charity Commission, member, and trustee issues, as well as trading and income generation matters
  • Advise on academy conversions and structures

About You

We are looking for a Legal Director or Partner at a similar firm with substantial experience in acting for charities, schools, and other not-for-profit organisations. You will have a proven track record in the not-for-profit field, both as a legal professional and in the marketplace. You will be technically competent, with excellent interpersonal and client development skills.
