An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to become part of the Lancashire Cricket Club team as a Food & Beverage Supervisor.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting the management team to ensure that the Food & Beverage staff are well-prepared and informed to provide our guests with an outstanding experience from arrival to departure. You will also be expected to take on the role of the most senior staff member in the hotel when necessary.
The Lancashire Cricket Club is a distinctive venue that hosts a variety of significant events, including international cricket matches and popular concerts. Our establishment features 250 guest rooms, a restaurant with a view of the pitch, and a bar, all integrated within a world-class multi-purpose venue.
This position offers a unique chance to be involved in a vibrant environment where you are not just working in a hotel, but also at a renowned cricket and concert venue.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a busy service and address any challenges that may arise.
- Effectively communicate and delegate tasks to the service team.
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Take and deliver customer orders while consistently demonstrating high levels of guest service.
- Prepare dining setups in the restaurant.
- Adhere to payment handling procedures.
- Manage guest inquiries promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all Food & Beverage sales.
- Ensure the Food & Beverage department is always ready for service.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation.
- Adhere to local licensing laws.
- Assist other departments as needed and foster positive working relationships.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience supervising a hotel team in a 4-star branded environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with integrated Food & Beverage till systems.
- Experience in Food & Beverage service within a hotel setting.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- High level of IT proficiency.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Capability to manage and motivate a team.
- Effective planning and assignment of work.
